Is CBD Oil Legal?
CBD oil is legal in Thailand as long as it contains less than 0.2% THC. THC is the compound in cannabis that is responsible for the psychoactive effects, or “high.” CBD oil products that contain more than 0.2% THC are considered to be marijuana, and are illegal in Thailand.
In June 2022, Thailand decriminalized cannabis and hemp, allowing for the private cultivation and consumption of cannabis plant parts. However, the possession and use of cannabis products containing more than 0.2% THC is still illegal.
